The Chord Chameleon Vee 3 is now fitted with the new Chord VEE 3 plug. The VEE plug uses a unique ABS enclosure to surround a low mass gold or silver-plated centre pin and return signal. A special non-compression cable clamp is also employed. The VEE plug has a profound effect on the performance of all cables it is fitted to. Detail and definition are enhanced and pace, rhythm and timing improved.

Heavily influenced by the design of the Solstice interconnect, the Chameleon features the same signal/dual return path used on all Chord high end cables, from the Signature Plus onwards. The improved shielding reduces interference and makes the cable better able to carry signal and dynamic information. The ChameleonPlus offers outstanding levels of performance and a genuine taste of high end levels of detail and coherence. 

The Chameleon is the first interconnect in the Chord range to use silver-plated conductors in combination with Teflon™ insulation, a combination of materials used extensively in Chord cables. The Chameleon uses silver-plated conductors in conjunction with Teflon insulation, so it makes sense to partner it with speaker cable that uses the same materials. The obvious and most popular choice is Chord Rumour. However, if you are using a floor standing speaker then Chord Odyssey is becoming an increasingly popular option. The Odyssey uses heavier gauge conductors than the Rumour and brings an extra degree of bass control and definition
