The Chord Chorus 2 is now fitted with the new Chord VEE plug. The VEE plug uses a unique ABS enclosure to surround a low mass gold or silver-plated centre pin and return signal. A special non-compression cable clamp is also employed. The VEE plug has a profound effect on the performance of all cables it is fitted to. Detail and definition are enhanced and pace, rhythm and timing improved.

What is it?
The Chorus 2 benefits from the combined tri-layer shielding system first developed for the Chord Signature and the Chord Indigo cables. The shielding system is used to protect the Teflon insulated, solid core silver-plated central signal conductor. The return path is carried externally, ensuring the complete isolation of the signal carrier. The combination of the silver plated signal path and Teflon insulation enables the Chorus 2 to accurately carry a wide bandwidth signal and the combined shielding system, ensures that dynamic and timbral information is neither lost nor masked by interference. These qualities mean that the Chorus 2 will be an ideal starting point for exploring the extended frequency range that many modern players are capable of.

Terminations
The Chorus 2 is available fitted with RCA plugs and 3 pin XLR connectors. Like the original Chorus, the signal conductors of the Chorus 2 are too large to allow the Chorus 2 to be reliably terminated with Din plugs.

Uses
The original Chorus was an extremely compatible interconnect that could be fitted almost anywhere in almost any system. Although the Chorus 2 is a completely new design, we aimed to ensure that these qualities were carried through, so like the original Chorus the all-new Chorus 2 is a good choice for AV systems, CD players and pre to power amps; in fact almost anywhere a high quality connection is required. Longer lengths are not a problem and reliability is outstanding and although its performance characteristics might make it seem like overkill, the Chorus 2 works extraordinarily well when used to connect high performance sub-woofers.

How does it sound?
The original Chorus‟s popularity stemmed from its ability to bring a particularly dynamic and lively sound to the system it was fitted to, along with a really outstanding bass performance. The new Chorus 2 builds on the original strengths, with greater levels of transparency and dynamic detail but like the original Chorus, although an undoubtedly high performance cable, it will also dramatically improve the sound of even quite modestly priced equipment.
